  • 40 years experience in voluntary sector both as a volunteer
    and paid employee
  • 16 years experience at senior management level of Rural
    Community Councils and national voluntary organisations
  • wide experience of community development especially in
    rural areas, finance management, funding negotiations, project
    management, partnership working and staff management
  • strong commitment to working with local people and
    community groups

Trustee 3

  • Fifteen years of charity management
  • Diverse experience of strategic governance at
    Board/Committee level
  • Diverse employment background - statutory, commercial and
    voluntary sectors
  • Commitment towards optimising the human potential of the
    voluntary/community sector
  • Strong belief in the value of volunteering and the
    realisation of human potential
  • Broad understanding of community development in rural areas
    in the southeast and south west of England

Trustee 4

  • Ten years senior management experience in local government
    at executive board level
  • Experience of local government research, policy development
    and evaluation in the civil service.
  • 20 years experience of the voluntary sector as a manager,
    local government officer working with the sector, and as a lay
    member/trustee
  • Experienced university teacher and researcher specialising
    in management learning and public service management.

Trustee 5

  • 30 years of charity management
  • Diverse employment background in both statutory and
    voluntary and community Commitment towards optimising the potential of
    the voluntary/community sector
  • Wide experience in the grant giving field both at a local
    and a national level
  • 10 years experience of community development in rural areas
    in the southeast and south west of England
  • Published researcher in the voluntary and community sector

Trustee 6

  • 12 years experience in the voluntary sector in a range of
    community development and management roles, latterly working with the
    trustees and staff of larger charities in the SW region to support
    their organizational development..
  • Experience of involving users and other stakeholders in
    service development.
  • Interest in participatory approaches to evaluation
  • Recently completed MSc in Policy Research
